Agreeing to these terms

Umlout is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Dmitrii Korzh (identification number 345663604) — "we" and "us" below. By creating an account or using Umlout you accept these terms. If you are using Umlout for an organisation, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

What Umlout is today

Umlout is a collaborative diagramming tool, still in active development. It is currently free: every account is on the free plan, we take no payment, and we do not process card details. If we introduce paid plans we will publish their terms before charging anyone, and using the free service will never convert into a paid one without you agreeing to it.

Because the service is developing, features can change or be withdrawn. We will not remove your ability to get your own content out.

Your account

Give an email address you actually control — we verify it, and it is how we reach you about your account. One account is for one person; do not share credentials.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done with API keys you generate for the MCP server. A key grants access to your diagrams, so treat it like a password: it is shown once, and if you lose control of one, revoke it on your profile page and generate another.

Your content stays yours

You keep every right you have in the diagrams, models and comments you create. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, to display it back to you, and to show it to the people you share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

When you share a diagram publicly, anyone with the link can open it — including people who are not signed in. That is what the feature does, so share deliberately.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for not putting anything into Umlout that you are not allowed to store or share.

Acceptable use

Do not use Umlout to:

• break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
• store or distribute malware, or content that is unlawful or abusive;
• attempt to access accounts, diagrams or systems that are not yours;
• probe or overload the service, or work around its rate limits;
• resell or redistribute the service as your own.

We apply rate limits to protect the service for everyone. They are set well above ordinary use; if you have a legitimate need that runs into one, ask us rather than working around it.

Availability

We run Umlout carefully but we do not promise it will be available at any particular time, and we offer no service level agreement. Maintenance, faults and outages happen. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Ending it

You can stop using Umlout whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account by writing to legal@aeario.com — the same address as in the Privacy Policy, since deleting an account is an erasure request.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other people at risk. Except where the law or the seriousness of the breach makes it impossible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to retrieve your content first.

Disclaimers and liability

Umlout is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost or corrupted data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when. For material changes we will notify account holders by email, and continuing to use Umlout after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, whose courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them — except that, if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
