Numbers drawn, not typed.

On most boards a dashboard's number is text in a box, and nothing knows it is a number. Here each value is drawn by a figure made for it — an indicator, a delta, a ring or a bar against a goal, a trend from a list of points.

Each part of a figure reads a field.

A dashboard figure is shaped by a field of its object. The ring paints Sales today against Goal today; the trend paints Cups by hour, a list of pairs, each a name and a number. Correct a number on the object and every drawing of it is corrected.

Manhattan's card holds no typed number. Its Sales today is a sum over the shops it holds, SoHo and the Upper West Side, and it is recomputed when either of them changes.
