A dot says there is more below.
Only a figure with boards under it carries the dot, so a busy board stays quiet. Rest the pointer on the figure and the corner opens with the number of boards; on a phone, tap the dot. Press the corner and the board opens.
- rest 0.2 s = open

A board under any figure, in one name.
Select a figure, press its boards slot in the format bar, choose New detail board and name it. A service gets its sequence diagram, an epic its tickets, a borough its cafés.
- or put an existing board under it
Draw it anywhere, its boards come along.
The boards belong to the object, not to one drawing of it. Manhattan is drawn on two boards, and the format bar shows both — and, marked with the arrow, the board that details it.
Level 1.2 · one thing, many boards →Every board knows the way up.
Up goes to the board the object comes from and selects it there. Open SoHo floor plan from the 8 a.m. line, and Up still leads to SoHo hall on the SoHo board — where SoHo hall belongs. Back returns to where you were.
- ↑ up = where it belongs
- ← back = where you were

The whole project, as one tree.
The catalog starts at the home board, New York, and goes down through each object to the boards under it: SoHo opens the SoHo board, Morning queue at SoHo on it opens the 8 a.m. line, and so on. A board that would lead back up is shown as a link, so the tree always ends.
